Observations about Mila Hardware and our industry

I’ve recently come back from a tough few days in Mallorca – sounds like a contradiction I know - but it was actually supposed to be some hard core training for the GM Fundraising Route 66 cycle ride which is coming up in September. Well, the dust has now well and truly settled at the end of the FIT show and we can all start to really assess whether the blood, sweat (and at times tears!) that went into the show were worth it.

Some good news on the economy at last.  I saw a report on the BBC website earlier this week that UK retail sales grew at their fastest rate in more than three years in February with like for like retail sales up 2.7% over the previous year.

I’m off to Mumbai tonight to visit the third Fenstarbau India exhibition.  I went to the first event back in 2011 in New Delhi which was on a fairly small scale, but apparently it’s grown considerably over the last couple of years and I’m keen to see how things have developed since then.

10 of the 15 riders taking part in this Summer’s GM Fundraising Hope 66 bike ride in the US met up at the weekend for a very cold and very windy training run.

Plans are coming together nicely for the Mila stand at the FIT show.  We signed up as Launch Partners at the very beginning and as a Diamond exhibitor we’ve got a great position - right at the front of Hall 2 - and a reasonably big stand which will give us plenty of room to show off all the new products we’ve got planned.
