I had intended to attend the Glasstalk event last week, but changed my plans in order to attend the funeral of Chris Ashman of Quantum Windows, a fellow industry cyclist who was tragically killed whilst out cycling near his home in Northamptonshire. Our thoughts are with his family.

I have therefore offered Vicki Sanders, Mila’s Internal Sales Manager, the opportunity to post her thoughts on her first Glasstalk event...

I like to think that my blog is a popular section on the Mila website - and certainly some weeks it gets more hits than any other page. Last week though, things were off the scale with my post reassuring fabricators that Mila is still supplying the full range of products from Siegenia receiving more than 1000 hits.

News that Siegenia-Aubi Ltd is to stop supplying its products via one of our biggest competitors has caused quite a stir this week and has understandably unsettled a number of fabricators who rely on many of the highly specialised products from the leading German manufacturer.

There was an interesting thread on the Renegade Conservatory Guy recently criticising conditions in Chinese hardware factories, putting forward the idea that there might be some mileage in the UK for a 'Fairtrade' range of hardware.
